Abducted Delta SARS officer enters day-7

Hope this is not going to be another case of the missing Chibok girls who are now women.

Seven days after an officer of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, was abducted by gunmen in Delta State, his abductors are yet to make contact with his family members. The officer, Emmanuel German, who was abducted last week Tuesday, was the immediate past SARS Officer-in-Charge of Ughelli, Delta State.

Confirming the incident on phone, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Celestina Kalu, said: “The police are still searching for him.”

However, a senior police officer attached to the Anti-Robbery Squad, said that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident. The officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: “We recovered his (German) SUV the next day at Agbarho with his laptop and other personal belongings intact.

I sincerely hope we get him back and in good time too.
